B!TCH3Z > COCK TALE: A QUEER PRE-HISTORY OF DRINKING IN AMERICA

"Cock Tale: A Queer Pre-History Of Drinking In America" is a drinking performance that marries the nuances of narrative theater and the events of a night out through a contemporary queer lens. Reflecting upon a century of drinking in America, artists Jonathan Sommer and Rosé Hernandez [of B!TCH3Z Drinking Projects] will shake and serve hand-crafted, era-appropriate cocktails for guests to imbibe as well as reimagine queer, sexual, and social histories. With every slurp, sip, suck, and swallow, B!TCH3Z Drinking Project's aim is to present a cocktail not merely as a means of escape, but a measure of beauty, sculpture, flavor, artistry, and ultimately self-reflection.

The audience will experience "Three Acts of Drinking" within a one hour time frame. These "Drinking Acts" will feature signature cocktails; Act One- Apertif "Master Of The Man", Act Two- Cocktail "Vanilla Ice Queen" , and Act Three; Digestif "Bear In Da Big Blue Club" that correlate directly to highlighted eras. Cocktails will be prepared by the artists and served by assistants. Custom beverage napkins will be given with cocktails as take-away pieces, complete with printed statements particular to the given "Drinking Act".
